The Craft Behind Every Stick
A dedication to preserving traditional Indian woodworking and casting techniques for timeless daily companions.
Preserving Ancient Woodcraft
At Indian Fine Arts and Handicrafts, we believe a walking stick is far more than a simple aid. It is a symbol of poise, heritage, stability, and character.
We collaborate with master woodturners and metal smiths whose families have perfected their craft across generations in Northern India. Every cane begins as selected raw timber—aged Sheesham, durable Indian Rosewood, or light Teakwood—naturally dried to prevent splitting.
The shafts are hand-turned on traditional lathes, hand-sanded to eliminate rough spots, and finished with organic protective oils and beeswax. Our brass handles are poured in sand molds, hand-chased, and hand-polished to develop a warm, lustrous patina over years of use.
